Asia Art Archive Senior Curator Özge Ersoy on her role in the library, interpreting what Asia is, and the preservation of art.

Senior curator Özge Ersoy of the Asia Art Archive (AAA) Hong Kong

Ep.55 | Özge Ersoy, senior curator of the Asia Art Archive (AAA) Hong Kong, invited me to their Sheung Wan space where we discussed the transformation of Asia Art Archive, how they changed their research approach, the research areas that they are looking into, how they think about preservation of art, and the relationship between curating and writing.

Özge Ersoy is Senior Curator at Asia Art Archive. She has worked in the curatorial teams of various nonprofit arts organisations in Hong Kong, Istanbul, New York, and Cairo for the past fifteen years, researching artists’ archives, contemporary art collections, and independent art spaces through exhibitions, public programmes, and publications.
